This type of kimono is also used with the tsuyu pattern. In the Heian period, this pattern was considered a "noble flower" or "sacred flower" among the nobility.
Before plum trees were imported from China, they were called Matsutake Tsugunabi, and they are indeed a very auspicious flower!
