Shichi-Go-San Photography

Shichi-Go-San" refers to the annual visit to a shrine to thank the local deity for the growth of the child when the child turns 3, 5, or 7 years old. Originally held in samurai society, the three celebratory events of "shichigosan" were "hakama-gi," when 3-year-old boys and girls began to grow their hair long, "hakamagi," when 5-year-old boys put on their first hakama, and "obi-yuki," when 7-year-old girls put on their first obi, the same obi as adults. In the past, the day of visit to shrines was November 15, but nowadays it is common to celebrate on a convenient date around November, and "pre-shot" commemorative photos are also becoming more common. We shoot in kimono, dresses, and tuxedos as well.

At Studio Reimei, we put our heart and soul into capturing the important Shichi-Go-San commemorations that celebrate your child's growth. Our wide selection of costumes and experienced staff will help you create the best memories possible.
